When: Friday, October 14 at 1:00 (lasts two hours)
Where: A. Rocha Canada - 1620 192 Street Surrey
Target Age: Grades 3-6

This afternoon camp will have lots of hands-on experiences for students as they roam through the forest section of the A. Rocha property. Students will learn how to build a shelter with dead forest materials, build a fire, (without actually setting it due to fire bans) and will make Douglas Fir tea on a camp stove. A. Rocha instructors will also talk about the principles of "leave no trace" and will show the difference between the local coniferous tree species: Cedar, Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce, Western Hemlock.
