About the event
Hello LHEA families and friends!
Let's have fun connecting with old and new friends. It can be very reassuring, especially for first-time homelearners, to have something special to do when all the neighbourhood kids troop back to school. If you are a new homeschooler, come out and meet some experienced folks. If you have been at this for a while, come and share your experience with a newbie. This is a very casual family event – come as you are!
When: Friday, September 11th, 2020 from 11am onwards
Where: Williams Park, Langley – Look for the LHEA signs and balloons to help you find the way!
What to Bring:
- food and drinks for your family
- sun screen, bathing suits, towels, water shoes, nets to catch minnows, buckets… (there is a great little stream running through the park)
- games (bocce, soccer ball, badminton, etc.)
- lawn chairs
- enthusiasm
- willingness to meet new homeschoolers
- board games
- anything else you can think of!
This will be a very casual family event. We will gather starting at 11am and stay until people want to go home!
Due to government social gathering restrictions, the capacity for this event is 50 people. Please be sure to register here if you plan to come.
